Don Niam is a Kung Fu Master and fitness expert based in Las Vegas. With 35 years in the Chinese martial arts and fitness movement, he helps hundreds to stay at their peak fitness and performance levels. For over three decades, he has developed his fitness techniques to train, teach and instruct. From mothers to hard-core athletes and celebrities. He has marketed his exceptional abilities to get people healthy and fit by successfully developing fitness seminars for major Fortune 500 corporations. With a history of training professional NFL athletes, college football teams, celebrities, CEOs, people of all ages and fitness levels including Kung Fu classes for children. Since the age of nineteen, Don’s life has been devoted to Kung Fu, Martial Arts and fitness. Don’s Kung Fu training techniques became well known and the Cleveland Browns – NFL team pursued him to become the first person to teach Kung Fu to a professional football team. This notoriety led to him developing a following among professional NFL athletes such as Bob Golic, ESPN Commentator and former Cleveland Browns defensive lineman, and the ABC Television Morning Exchange Show airing Don’s Kung Fu training and fitness expert techniques to thousands of television viewers. Later, Don set out to make his mark in Los Angeles with plans to market his fitness techniques through the film industry. He began teaching at some of Los Angeles’ top studios and fitness facilities. He built an incredible celebrity following. Fitness personality, Johnny G, the inventor of “Spinning”, Matthias Hues, Action Film Star, from “I Come in Peace”, William Shatner’s daughter, Melanie Shatner and many others trained with Don.
Shortly after arriving in Los Angeles, Don was offered an on screen-acting role to co-star in a martial arts movie. In 1992, he co-starred opposite Cynthia Rotherock, in an Action Star Pictures Production called “Undefeatable”. He enjoyed acting, but his real passion remained in being a Kung Fu Master. Don returned to his native Ohio and with a goal to design a workout program, which would incorporate years of his training as a Kung Fu martial artist into a unique exercise program. Several months later, he designed the ultimate workout program – entitled Nitro Kick. Nitro Kick program instructional DVD’S. Don has been featured in myriad of print publications including; Akron Beacon Journal, Black Belt Magazine, Inside Kung Fu, West Side Leader, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Wall Street Journal and much more. His television appearances include; ABC Television Morning Exchange and NBC Television Afternoon Show. In 1989, in the National Kung Fu Tournament (NACMAF) Don competed with some of the best Kung Fu Martial Arts athletes in the world and placed second. NBC Television aired Don’s Nitro Kick® program and interviewed him along with a Nitro Kick® demonstration. In 2004 Don relocated to Las Vegas Nevada to establish a personal training business, as a Certified Personal Trainer, Don operates his Personal Training business at Las Vegas Athletic Clubs and in the privacy of clients homes in Las Vegas, Nevada.
